COOK STRAIT CAR FERRY
STUDY BY CABINET SUBCOMMITTEE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 12.
Some progress had been made in the discussions held already on plans for a Cook Strait ferry service, but the stage had not yet been reached when firm decisions could be made, said the Minister of Finance (Mr J. T. Watts), who. is chairman of the Cabinet sub-committee investigating the question, today. “The committee is working hard, but it is a very difficult and complicated matter,” said Mr Watts.
