SMALL DROP IN POWER STORAGE
Storage in the South Island power lakes fell again in the 24 hours up to 9 a.m. yesterday, when it stood at 76.330.000 units. compared with 77.390.000 the day before. There was no further rain in the catchment areas, and the frosts in the back country are increasing in severity.
Christchurch Municipal Electricity Department consumers kept within their quota by more than 10 per cent, on Monday.
