Power Station For Tibet
(Rec. 11 p.m.) HONG KONG. June 12. A hydro-electric station with an annual capacity of 2,000.000 kilowatt hours is expected to start generating electricity on October 1. near Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, the Peking Radio announced today. In a Chinese language broadcast Peking Radio said that there were great resources of water power among the high gorges and the rapids of Tibetan rivers.
DR. ADENAUER IN WASHINGTON
(Rec. 11 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 11. Dr. Adenauer, the West German Chancellor, arrived in Washington this afternoon for informal foreign policy talks with Mr Dulles, the United States Secretary of State.
Plane Crash in Tyrol.—A Swiss pilot and three Austrian passengers were killed when a single-engined sports plane crashed into a garden near the Innsbruck Tyrol airfield tonight.— • Vienna. June 11.
