BEAZLEY OUTPOINTS GEOGAN

WELLINGTON, June 11. The New Zealand welter-weight boxing Champion, Billy Beazley (list), gaves one of the best displays of his career when he beat Clarrie Grogan (list 5«lb), oi Australia, on points over 12 rounds.. in a catch-weight contest, in the Wel.m„ton Town Hall tonight. It was Beazlej s first fight for almost a year. Beazley had a hard time keeping out Grogan, a strong, wiry fighter of the same height as himself, in the first three rounds. Grogan forced thoP 3 ® 6 ; al ?{{ some of his hooks worried Beazley tin some of his smart counter-piincning and right rips began to take effect. It did not take Beazley long to find a feu chinks in his opponent’s defence, and thereafter he boxed with much more confidence.
