KINDERGARTENS
Sir,—l was horrified to hear and see children under the age of four being sent to kindergarten. My persona] opinion is that mothers who send children under four should never have had them. A good excuse to get rid of them. After all, a child under four is still only a baby and needs mother love, which they soon lose by being packed off so early. This excuse of sending them to get them used to mixing is just eyewash. In my district, if I hear a wee tot swearing or pulling up shrubs in front of fences, nine out of 10 are those attending kindergarten.—Yours, etc.,
KEEP THEM LOVABLE AND YOUNG. June 11, 1956.
