ST. JOHN AMBULANCE CONFERENCES
DELEGATES TO MEET IN WELLINGTON Conferences of the St. John Ambulance organisation will be held for three days in Wellington from June 2K after which a memorial service will be held for Mr K A. Falconer, who was for many years secretary of the Priory in New Zealand of the Venerable Order of St. John and a Commander of the Order. The St. John Ambulance Association will hold its conference on June 21 and delegates to the St. John Ambulance Brigade’s conference will meet on June 23. The annual meeting of the Priory Chapter and the Priory Council will be held on June 22. On Sunday, June 24. the memorial service to Mr Falconer will be conducted at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wellington. Later, in the same church, the Governor-General (Sir Willoughby Norrie), who is Prior in New Zealand, will hold an’ investiture for admission to and promotion within the Order. Delegates to the conferences from Canterbury and the West Coast will include Mr J. H. Rhodes, president of the Canterbury and West Coast district of the St. John Ambulance Bri- ’ gade and a vice-president of the ; Canterbury and West Coast centre of the St. John Ambulance Asociation; Dr. W. Gordon Rich, District Commissioner of the brigade; Mr B. J. McKenna, centre chairman of comr mittees; Major-General G. B. Parkin- , son. secretary-treasurer of the centre; o Mr E. G Kingston, secretary of the Timaru sub-centre: and Mrs A. E. G Boyd, secretary of the Kaikoura sub- . centre.
