GRAZIERS MAKE OFFER

Australian Shearers’ Award

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, June 11. An offer which may result in a settlement of the shearing dispute was made yesterday by the Graziers’ Federal Council.

The graziers’ offer covers these points: That hearing of applications for a new award for shearers be resumed before the Conciliation Commissioner. That each side put its case “with the least delay” to permit the hearing _ to be completed within a month. That any wage increases awarded to shearers be back-dated to the day the hearing is resumed or for two rnonths, whichever is the shorter.
