ASSETS INCREASE BY £IOM IN TEN YEARS

The income of harbour boards rose from £4,940,000 in 1953-54 to £5,726,000 in 1954-55, and their expenditure from £4,854,000 to £5,393.000, showing an excess of income for the year of £333.000, compared with £86,000 for the previous year, according to the latest issue of the Abstract of Statistics.

Total liabilities have risen from £7.412,000 in 1944-45 to £11.013.000 in 1954-55, an increase of £3,601,000, while assets have moved from £18.847.000 to £29,292,000, an increase of £10,445,000 for the same period.
