POWER STORAGE DOWN
M.E.D. AREA WITHIN ALLOCATION
Power storage dropped again in the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday. The fall was of 610,000 units, to 77.990,000 units.
Cold conditions were again experienced in the back country during Thursday night. At Lilybank station, in the Tekapo district, the temperature was 13 degrees. No rain was reported in the most recent period, and the weather yesterday morning was generally calm, clear, and frosty. In the Municipal Electricity Department’s district the demand was 5.1 per cent, under allocation on Thursday. For the week up to that stage consumption was 12.8 per cent, below the allocation.
