Public Service Appeals Board.—A sitting member of the Public Service Appeals Board. Mr G. H. Sorrell, of the Labour Department, one of the two -board candidates sponsored by the Public Service Association, was narrowly defeated by ’a non-spon-sored candidate, Mr C. J. Stace, of the Maori Affairs Department, in the recent election for two employee places on the board. Mr J. W. G Davidson, a member of the Govern ment Service Tribunal, was re-elected with 13.102 votes. Mr Stace received 9274 votes and Mr Sorrell 9223.—(PA..)
