CAPITAL TAX ON LIVESTOCK
FARMERS SEEK SUPPORT OF PARLIAMENTARIANS
After hearing a statement by the Dominion secretary of Federated Farmers (Mr A. P. O’Shea), in committee. the conference of the North Canterbury district of the federation yesterday instructed the executive to bring to the attention of local members of Parliament a remit calling for the Dominion conference to continue to press for action on the capital livestock taxation issue.
The federation had been pressing for many years for action on the unjust capital livestock tax. said Mr D. W. Gray, moving the adoption of the remit for the remits committee.
