I The Northland forwards were disap- I nointing in this preparation for the ' Springboks game next Wednesday. The . forwards were beaten in all departments , except the scrums. J. Darrah. Thames , Valley flanker, was the best forward on the field. ( R.N.Z.A.F. TOURNEY 1 WOODBOURNE WINS ISITT CUP (New Zealand Press Association) ! BLENHEIM. June 7. Woodbourne beat Hobsonville, 17-9, this rfternoon, in the final of the R.N.Z.A.F. inter-station Rugby championship for the Isitt Cup. The score was 6-all at halftime. The match was played on a heavy, rain-swept ground. Woodbourne reached the final this year! with wins over Ohakea (9-3), Shelly Bay (18-3), and Wigram (18-6). Hobsonville’s wins were over Te Rapa (8-3) and Whenuapai (21-0).
