ATLANTIC QUALIFYING EVENT The Atlantic Silver Plough qualifying event was held in conjunction with the Amur! Young Farmers’ Club's tenth annual ploughing match on Mr J. L. Macfarlane’s property, “Lyndon, ’’ Waiau The judges were Messrs J. G. Carter and J. Boyle, and Mr D. Black, of the Hawar-den-Waikari Y.F.C., was junior judge. Results were as follows: Atlantic Silver Plough Event.—J. Brooker 1, J. Edmans 2. Kilsyth Challenge Cup for Champion Ploughman in Amuri Y.F.C.—J. Black. Mayfair Challenge Cup for Champion Ploughman over 20.—J. Black. Hollybank Rose Bowl for Champion Ploughman under 20.—J. Gardner. Blairlogie Trophy (won outright) for competitor from the area bounded by the Waipara and Conways river, with the highest aggregate of points.—J. Black Best ins and outs: H. Bea ven. Best feering: L. Savage. Best finish: B. Purchas. Best ploughing: J. Black. Straightest ploughing: J. Black and B. Purchas Best novice ploughman: J. Gardner Youngest competitor: J. Davies.
