MR L. J. WILD TO PRESIDE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. June «. An investigation of agricultural education and the opportunities for young persons entering all forms of agriculture will be made by a commitee set up by the Government. The Minster of Education (lilr A. M. Algie), who made this announcement today, said the committee would comprise one representative each of Federated Fanners, the Federation nf Young Farmers’ Clubs, and the Animal Production Society; four representatives of Government departments (Education. Lands and Survey. Agriculture. and the .State Advances Corporation); two representatives of the University of New Zealand; and one representative of the Post-Primary

They were ’ “to consider the opportunities open to young people to enter agricultural pursuits of all tyres, and to progress in them, to report on the adequacy of the educational facilities offered for such occupations; and to make recommendations.”

“No aspect of our education system is more important than agricultural education." Mr Algie said. “We may expect a broad and thoughtful assessment from a committee which represents so many points of view, and we are particularly fortunate in having as Chairman.
