SUSPECT CASES OF POLIOMYELITIS
TWO IN CHRISTCHURCH a Two cases of poliomyelitis notified ' in the Christchurch Health District for s the week ended June 2 were still only suspect cases, the Medical Officer of Health (Dr. A. Douglas) said yesteri day. Both cases were from the city area, and both had been adniitted to a the Christchurch Public Hospital. The list of notifiable diseases for the ’ week for the Christchurch and Greyp mouth Health Districts showed one death from poliomyelitis in the Grey- _ mouth district. -i Other notifications, all for the 3 Christchurch district, were: tuberculosis 1, salmonellosis 1, and amoebic dysentery 1.
