MUSIC HALL Magic At Majestic

The most successful vaudeville revue that probably has ever played the Australian-New Zealand stage opens its Christchurch season at the Majestic Theatre on Monday, June 18, with a gala premiere. This remarkable stage show, “THANKS FOR THE MEMORY,” has already broken all show business records in Auckland and Wellington. “THANKS FOR THE MEMORY,” which will play a two weeks’ season at the Majestic Theatre, is headed by no less than five top-star vaudeville names: George Wallace, Jim Gerald. Queenie Paul, Morrie Barling, and Nellie Kolle. This brilliant revue show will give true lovers of the theatre nostalgic memories of musical haT days. Great Comedians This show is, undoubtedly, rich in comedy with such great comedians on the bill, and fast and entertaining with such an array of top-star vaudeville acts. Christchurch will look forward to such a brilliant line-up of artists, particularly as- this company brings with them Sydney’s most modern beauty ballet, Queenie Paul’s Sunkist Beauties, who have been the rage of Sydney, and the famous pin-up models, the most photographed girls in show business. No stone has been left unturned to make this the brilliant success it has proved to be, for the company brings with them the famous Palladium Theatre Orchestra under the baton of leading variety music hall director, Enso Toppano. More Than Fifty It is many years, if ever, that a fully imported variety revue company of over 50 people have visited us in their entirety. On the results of their Australian seasons and their record-breaking performances in New Zealand—their success is already assured here. New Zealand was once known to vaudevillians as “Fuller’s Earth.” Theatre party bookings are available Monday to Friday nights, for 20 or more persons, at. concession prices. Apply immediately to the D.I.C. box office. —P2B.A.
