DAMAGE TO TURNIPS
Sir, —Anyone who has watched snarrows cleaning up an infested willow tree can but wonder if the turnip 1 infection (due to aphids, carriers of virus) has become a menace recently, since the noticeable reduction in numbers of these indefatigable small seekers (who can de-scale branches and leaves with unbelievably rapid action). —Yours, etc., BIRD NEWS.
