WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES
N.Z. REPRESENTATION AT CONFERENCE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 4. Two New Zealanders are expected to attend the first meeting of the World Council of Churches to be held in Eastern Europe. The meeting will be held from July 28 to August 5 at Matrahaza, a resort in the hills north-east of Budapest. The New Zealanders, part of the 90member central committee of the council at the meeting, are expected to be Mrs F. O. Bennett,, of Christchurch, representing the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, and the Rev. A. M. Elliffe, of Dunedin, who will be consultant representing the National Council of Churches.
