Springbok Boots For Schoolboy
Members of the Christchurch West High School first Rugby fifteen will watch with interest the effectiveness of the lightweight boots worn by the Springboks when they play in Christchurch. The school hooker, Peter Robinson, is a nephew of Mr W. C. Foster, of • Cape Town, whose firm supplied boots for the South Africans, and a pair is now in the mail to New Zealand for him. An ardent autograph hunter—■’ he has signed souvenirs of many international football and cricket matches—Peter received a welcome addition to his collection this week in the form of a miniature Rugby football signed by every member of the 1956 Springbok team and the manager, Dr. Danie Craven.
