RESHUFFLE OF CABINET
STATEMENT LIKELY TODAY (Frnm Out Reporter) WELLINGTON. March 13, A reshuffle of the Cabinet because of the recent surrender of his portfolios by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr D. J. Eyre) is expected to be announced by the Prime Minister (Mr’ Holland) in Invercargill tomorrow. The Cabinet will meet in Invercargill tomorrow as part of Southland’s centenary celebrations, and the announcement is likely during the day. It is still probable that Mr Eyre will be given Defence as his principal portfolio. Mr Eyre’s present portfolio of Industries and Commerce will be allocated to either the PostmasterGeneral (Mr T. P. Shand) or the Minister Assistant to the Prime Minister (Mr E. H. Halstead).
