CHECKING OF TOOTH DECAY
OTAGO DENTAL SCHOOL EXPERIMENT (Neto Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN. March 13. Experiments begun in Melbourne 18 years ago and continued by scientists of the Otago Dental School under the direction of the Dean (Dr. J. P. Walsh) may prove a major step in the world-wide fight against tooth decay. Scientists at the school have developed a cream which is benig used by schoolchildren in Wellington, where clinical research is being carried out. Results of the tests on children using the new cream and another group of children using ordinary toothpaste would not be known for about a year, Dr. Walsh said today.
