TIMBER WORKERS STRIKE
WAGES DISPUTE AT MURUPARA (New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA. March 13. After a stop-work meeting, nonsalaried employees of the Kaingaroa Logging Company at Murupara decided by 118 votes to 21 to strike. No work was done this afternoon. The men. most of whom are drivers, are demanding a bonus or an increase in their basic wage. They are not expected to resume work tomorrow.
