"The Press” Special Service WELLINGTON, March 7. Gallant Peter has been scratched for the Ngaio High-weight on the first day of the Wellington autumn meeting on Saturday. Doubtful runners include Chattering (Plunket Nursery Handicap). Benefactor (Autumn Handicap), Sousbois and John Bull (Tinakori Hack Handicap). As G. F. Hughes is engaged for Jollette, it appears she will contest the Plunket Nursery Handicap in preference to the North Island Challenge Stakes.
