AUCTION ROOM BROKEN INTO

The premises of A. E. Barrell and Company, auctioneers and land agents, in Gloucester street, were broken into on Tuesday night and £2 12s 5d in cash was stolen from a filing cabinet which was forced open. Valuable watches were left untouched. There was an auction sale on the premises on Tuesday. Entry was gained through a side door, reached by climbing over roofs between Chancery lane and the premises.
