WOOL VALUES IN AUSTRALIA

(Rec. 10.10 p.m.) SYDNEY. March 7. Prices were generally unchanged on the third day of the Sydney wool sales today. Comebacks and crossbreds ruled firm. Chief buyers of the 18.484 bales sold were the Continent, Japan, and Britain. The wools were mostly average to good spinners with a sprinkling of superstyle wools. Crossbred prices included. 60’s good to 78 Jd, good average to 73.’,d 58’s good to 741 d, 56 s good to 72]d, 50’s good average to 60d. At Albury there was a total clearance of 18.000 bales with prices for Merinos and comebacks firm on Melbourne and fine medium and coarse crossbreds slightly in the buyers’ favour. Crossbred prices included 60-64’s good to super to 82d; 60's, super to 76d; 56’s, good‘to 66Jd.
