PIGEON FLYING
EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB Good times were recorded when the East Christchurch Pigeon Racing Club held its second race from Oamaru. Fifty birds were liberated in overcast weather with slight rain. Results were:— J. Turner, 4hr 55min 40sec; E. Alexander, 4hr 55min 45sec; R. Moore, 4hr 56min 38sec; H. Courtier, 4hr 56min 44sec; J. Rhodes. 4hr 56min 46sec; O. Freeman, 4hr 58min 2sec; E. Barker, 4hr 58min 42sec; ; J. Mullanv. 4iir 59min 25sec; C. Mount-; fort, shr lmin 12sec; J. H. Beale, shr | 30min 13sec. I H. Courtier won the nominated bird prize. ______________
