RANGE REOPENED The golf-driving range in South Hagley Park reopened on Thursday, after being closed for about 10 weeks because of the hot weather. Attendance at the range was satisfac*or a fir st uay, said the secretary of the Canterbury Provincial Golf Association (Mr G. W. A. Green). To reduce the neavy loss of balls, the assocaition is still trying to find an inexpensive method of marking them. A wooden bunker filled with sand has oeen built for practising explosion shots
