PAPER BOY CAUGHT IN PRESS

ACETYLENE TORCH USED TO FREE LEG (New Zealand Press Association) . AUCKLAND, January 24. When he was caught in the printing press of the “Thames Star” newspaper this afternoon, Richard Edwards, aged 11, of Karaka road, Thames, had one leg crushed. While a doctor attended him, mechanics used an acetylene torch to cut the boy free from the press. Edwards was admitted to the Thames Hospital, and his condition tonight was satisfactory. He delivers newspapers for the “Thames Star.” After the press had been repaired, more papers were printed.
