DRAW FOR EUROPEAN ZONE (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, January 24. The draw for the first round of the European Zone Davis Cup matches is:— Czechoslovakia v. Pakistan, Poland v. Austria, Finland v. Ireland, Luxembourg v. Switzerland, Monaco v. Spain, Norway v. Israel, Jugoslavia v Egypt. Turkey v. Netherlands.

First Round Byes.—Denmark. Italy. Germany, France. Belgium, Sweden, Great Britain, Chile.

Great Britain, with a first round bye, will meet the winner of the Jugoslavia v. Egypt match in the second round. Great Britain is in the opposite section to Italy, the 1955 European Zone win-

First round matches must be completed by May 1, the second round by May 15, the third round by June 5, the semifinals by June 19, and the final on July
