1000 M.P.H. Claimed For U.S. Fighter
WASHINGTON. Jan. 23. The McDonnell FlOl Voodoo, probably the biggest, heaviest, and long-est-ranged fighter in the world, was reported today to have flown faster, than 1000 miles an hour a number of times. Informed sources said that the fighter has flown faster than 1100 miles an hour at least once, and has exceeded 1050 miles an hour about six time*.
