ROYAL STANDARD FOR QUEEN
Use During Tour Of Nigeria (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, January 23. The Queen plans to walk in front of a silken Royal standard at ceremonies she attends on foot in Nigeria. Throughout the Royal visit, beginning next week-end. the standard will be borne by Sergeant-Major Momo Zinder, the Governor-General’s senior orderly. It is sft by 3ft, in an applique design. The Colonial Office said today that this feature of the visit was being introduced so that the Queen pould be quickly identified by people whose chance to see the Queen might be brief.
