DOUBLE TO ANOD AND OMALASS (New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, Jan. 23. The Waverley stable-mates, Anod and Omalass, took the double at Awapuni yesterday, when the Ashhurst-Poharigina Racing Club held its meeting in fine weather on a fast track. Anod won really well from Detect and Golden Eve. There was a close finish to the second leg. Omalass narrowly beat Intuitive, which finished very fast. Gay Pride was a close third, just beating China Clock. The Anod-Omalass double paid £27 8s 6d for £l. The totalisator handled £53,893 10s, compared with £53,659 10s last year, an increase of £234.
