Bus Conductor Given Tenor Role

Mr Gale Webb, producer of Combined Artistes, one of London’s leading amateur dramatic societies, was walking in Trafalgar square when he heard a fine tenor voice coming from a No. 12 bus, the “Evening News” reported today. Mr Webb jumped aboard, and before the end of a 2jd trip he had signed the singing bus conductor, Frank Balcombe, to play Buttons in the pantomime “Cinderella,” which will be staged in Hornsey Town Hall next , week.
