PLAY BEGUN AT GREYMOUTH (New Zealand Press Association) GREYMOUTH, Jan. 6. The New Zealand Draughts Association's championships were t opened at Greymouth yesterc’ay by Mr J. B. Kent, M.P. Fourteen players are competing. The surprise of the early play was the defeat of last year’s runner-up, A. L. R. Noonan, of Auckland. Results were:— First Round.—D. Walkey (Greymouth) 11, T.
