Air Vice-Marshal Denis Barnett, aged 49, senior British liaison officer at United Nations • military headquarters in Japan during the Korean *war, has been appointed Air Officer Commanding, the Royal Air Force Staff College at Bracknell, Berkshire, from next May, the Air Ministry announced today. Air Vice-Marshal Barnett, a New Zealander born at Dunedin, has commanded 205 Group. Middle East Air .Force, since May, 1954, and was formerly Director of Operations at the Air Ministry and Commandant of the Central Eomb Establishment.
He became a Companion of the Bath in the New Year honours list.
