N.Z. TOPDRESSING AIRCRAFT
EXPORTS TO AUSTRALIA PLANNED (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 26. Fietcher topdressing aircraft, assembled in New Zealand from parts made m America, will be exported to Australia. In a luncheon address today, Mr O G. James, managing director of James Aviation, Ltd., said that one Fletcher was being built in New Zealand every four days. Some of the work was done by his own organisation at Rukuhia aerodrome. Hamilton, and the rest by Tasman Empire Airways. Each plane cost between £7OOO and £BOOO Thirty of the planes had so far been delivered to topdressing firms in New Zealand, and it was expected that by Christmas there would be 50 flying he said. J “We will also be supplying the Australian market, Mr James said. He wanted to send a Fletcher to Australia soon to give demonstration flights.
