Stock Speedboat Racing
Stock car racing as known in Christchurch has gitpn rise in Sydney to stock speedboat racing. Twenty-four boats, 10ft 6in long, hydroplane and inboard types, male of fibre glass, and with 10 h.p. motors, have been built, and special fitted to them. They race in fouvj, with four laps totalling about 200 ft yards in a race. They have only t<k round buoys to meet every race regulation.
