FOUR SHIPS DISCHARGE AT LYTTELTON THIS WEEK

The Pacific Clipper, a new 10.854-ton Swedish tanker, which reached Lyttelton last evening direct from Bahrein, is the fourth ship in port this week with a bulk cargo. She brought 4.000,000 gallons of petrol and 500,000 gallons of diesel fuel, of which 1.560,000 gallons of petrol and 190 000 gallons of diesel fuel are for discharge in Lyttelton. Yesterday afternoon two ships sailed after unloading bulk cargoes. The Kurutai left for Oamaru after discharging 2500 tons of wheat from Ardrossan, and the Meadowbank, which had brought 2500 tons of sulphur from the Gulf of Mexico, sailed for Dunedin.

The Exmoor, which is ■to sail for Dunedin at the end of next week, is discharging 5000 tons of bagged cement from Britain, and the Nordvard. a Norwegian ship under charter to the British Phosphates Commissioners, is unloading 4000 tons of phosphates from Nauru.
