POLICE CHIEF’S ACTION
HOBART. August 11. The Hobart Superintendent of Police <Mr T. J. Marshall) has asknd to ba reduced to the ranks because he feeis he cannot execute court warrants to evict tenants ,cf bouses to make way for business premises “without imoosing hardship on innocent persons. Mr Marshall said ne had served in two wars and he felt his comrades had not sacrificed their lives to allow the eviction position to arise.
