The Medical Officer of Health at Christchurch (Dr. D. P. Kennedy) will assume his new duties as an Assistant Director of the Division of Hospitals at Wellington on September 1. Dr. Kennedy, who has held his present post for three years, will remain in Christchurch until the end of this month. Pastor J. J. Dever, secretarytreasurer of the Bismarck-Solomons Union Mission of the Seventh-day Adventists, left Christchurch last evening on the first stage of his return journey to Rabaul, New Britain. For the last three months he has been on furlough in Christqhurch and Timaru. Mr A. R. Bielski. at present on the staff of the Seacliff Mental Hospital, has been appointed a food and milk sampling officer for the Department of Health at Christchurch.
