BUILDING PERMITS IN CHRISTCHURCH
JULY VALUES SHOW DECREASE Building permits issued by the Christchurch City Council in July 1955, show a decrease in number and value compared with the figures for July, During last month, 264 permits for buildings valued at £291,086 were issued compared with 352 permits for buildings valued at £431,369, in July, From the end of March 1954 to July of that year, building permits to .the value of £1,428,287 were issued compared with £1,358,055 in 1955. The following are details of permits for various parts of the city:—
