INDIAN TOURING TEAM ARRIVE TODAY IN CHRISTCHURCH ■Hie Indian Wanderers hockey team, which will play two matches in Christchurch, against Canterbury at English Park tomorrow, and against New Zealand at Lancaster Park on August 20, will arrive at Lyttelton on the steamer express this morning and will be met by members of the Canterbury Hockey AssoLater this afternoon there will be a sportsmen's welcome for the team at the Pioneer Sports Club. It is expected that some of the Indian plapers wfll visit primary schools this morning and speak to the pupils. Visits will be made to secondary schools this afternoon. After tomorrow’s mrftch the visitors will be entertained at tea by the Canterbury team and management committee, and on Sunday afternoon they will be taken for a motor drive, with afternoon tea at the Takahe. The Indian team will leave for Umaru on Monday morning, and will return to Christchurch on the morning of Thursday, August 18, after matches at Timaru and Ashburton. Members of the team will speak at a Canterbury Junior Chamber of Commerce lunch, will visit schools in the afternoon, speak at a meeting of the Royal Empire Soicety at 5 p.m., and in the evening give demonstrations and coaching at a roller skating rink. After the test match on August 20 there will be a New Zealand Hockey Association function at which the Indian players will be guests, and on the Sunday there will be a picnic. In the evening the visitors will be guests of the Christchurch Indian Society, and they will leave for Sydney by plane at 5 p.m. on August 22.
