N.Z. HORSES LEAVE FOR AUSTRALIA

(New Zealand Press Association) ■ . WELLINGTON, August 11. The Woodville trainer, S. A. Brown, left Wellington for Sydney today in the Wanganella with Redcraze, Historic Era, and Summersette. The team will spend two days m Sydney and will be taken by air to Melbourne. The horses will be trained at Flemington. The Awapuni jockey, V. J. Sellars, who also travelled in the Wanganella, will ride Brown’s horses in their Australian engagements. Gold Scheme and Sir William, in the charge of their Riccarton trainer, L". J. Ellis, also sailed in the Wanganella. The pair, which will be quartered at M. McCarten’s Randwick stable, will compete at the big sprint meeting in Sydney and Melbourne. The former Hutt Park-trained Marathon, and a Lucky Bag two-year-old colt which will join F. Dalton’s Randwick stable, were also among the horses shipped today.
