(Rec. 10 p.m.) JAKARTA, August 11, Indonesia’s new Prime Minister would be 38-year-old Moslem Party stalwart, Burhanuddin Harahap. the Vice-President, Dr. Mohammed Hatta, told Reuter’s tonight. Dr. Hatta said a new Cabinet, to replace the one overturned by dissident army officers last month, would be formed by midday tomorrow. The formation of the new Cabinet will end an 18-day search for suitable participants and will bring the first stability to Indonesia since the army officers’ boycott of the new Chief of Staff (Major-General Bambeng Utojo) on June 27 after charges of Cabinet interference in purely military matters.
Hat Trick by Trueman.—Freddie Trueman, the Yorkshire fast bowler, did the hat trick for Yorkshire against Nottinghamshire at Scarborough today. He took the wickets of Giles, Stocks and Cyril Poole with successive balls in his eighth over. It was the second hat trick of his career. The first was also against Nottinghamshire—at Trent Bridge, in 1951.—London, August 10.
