THIRD REMAND ON MURDER CHARGE
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 10. Making his third appearance in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court since his arrest on a charge of murdering Alan Keith Jacques, aged 19, in Ye Olde Barn Cafe, in Queen street, Auckland, on July 26, Albert Lawrence Elack, a 20-year-old labourer, was today further remanded until next Wednesday. The application for the remand was made by Senior-Detective H. M Holmes. Mr P. G. Hillyer, who with Mr R. K. Davison is representing Black, consented. Mr R. M. Grant, S.M., was on the Bench. On his previous appearances in Court, Black was handcuffed to a policeman, but this morning he was not manacled.
