N.Z. EXHIBITS AT SYDNEY SHOW

COMMERCE DEPARTMENT APPLIES FOR SPACE Participation in Sydney’s Royal Easter Show is being considered by the New Zealand Department of Industries and Commerce. Government approval to take part will, depend on the response from firms and organisations interested in exhibiting. In a letter to the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Association, the Secretary of Industries and Commerce. Mr P. B. Marshall said: “Space has been tentatively applied for in anticipation of sufficient support coming from exhibitors. “What we have in mind, if this proves practicable, is a Government sponsored New Zealand display, the main features of which would be New Zealand’s tourist attractions and the Nev/ Zealand timber industry, with particular reference to our exports to Australia of radiata pine and other exotic species, and our potential exports of pulp and paper products. We would also endeavour to get as wide a range as possible of exhibits of other New Zealand products and manufactured goods.”
