BAKERS’ SCHOOL
Sir, —Some years ago I came across an excellent account of Baker’s School at French 'Farm on Akaroa Harbour. I cannot now remember in what book I read this; nor, at. the moment, is the reference department of the Christchurch Library able to help me. I wonder whether any of your readers knows of a useful reference to this almost famous school, that flourished, I think, before the turn of the century.—Yours, etc., DOUGLAS. CRESSWELL. August 10. 1955.
