OPOSSUM TRAPS
Sir. —The article in “The Press” on August 1 concerning animals caught in traps makes very nasty reading. Eurooean countries have outlawed traps many years ago. What, a disgrace to New Zealand that we seek no merciful means of destruction. What an example for the young! Why are all the religious bodies and women’s organisations so quiet, especially the Women's Division, of Federated Farmers, whose beautiful creed ends with the words: “Oh Lord God. teach us to be kind.”—Yours, etc., RUTHLESS DESTRUCTION OF TRAPS. August 8. 1955.
