Queen Juliana's Call To World Youth

Queen Juliana of the Netherlands has appealed to the youth of the world to help meet the challenge of poverty and the unequal distribution of wealth In a speech to youth leaders and university students at Leyden, Holland, she called for a “world-embracing prosperity plan” to raise standards of living and eradicate malnutrition. The growth of world population and the gulf between the rich and the poor areas threatened to overshadow the whole of human society, said Queen Juliana.
“It entails the risk that every one of us may one day be its victim, no matter on which siae of what curtain we are living,” she said.
