LONG RANGE DESERT GROUP

ANNUAL MEETING AND REUNION About 50 members of the Long Range Desert Group Association attended the annual meeting of the association in Christchurch on Saturday evening. The meeting was presided over by the president (Major C. S. Morris), who is a former commanding officer of the New Zealand Squadron. After the meeting there was a dinner, and members spent the rest of the evening renewing old friendships and discussing days spent in the; Sahara and Libyan Deserts, Italy and’ elsewhere. Night raids on enemy convoys and aerodromes, and watching of enemy movements were among the many activities discussed. On Sunday members were the guests of the president and Mrs Morris at their home in Fendalton.
